When you spend time on the weekends, you instantly feel much more content come a sunday evening. Sure you may not want to get up for work come Monday morning, but you might also feel like you have made the most of your time off. You can feel the complete opposite if you feel like you’ve wasted this precious downtime. So if you find yourself wanting to make more of your weekends, then here are some of the things that you could consider to ensure that you and your group of friends really make the most of your weekend time.
Head away for the weekend
A weekend is two full days and two full nights, and while you probably don’t need me to state the obvious you could be missing a trick. Weekends away are something that you can probably do more often than you are right now, am I right? Half the fun is planning your weekend, booking it, finding great deals and accommodation and then actually enjoying the trip. Perhaps heading away for a camping trip, using a trailer and all jumping in the one vehicle.
You can even find Car Trailers for Sale online which come in handy for all sorts of things. Maybe you could jump on a plane and be in a new city within a matter of hours. It can certainly be a fun way to spend time with your friends and also enjoy a new place.
Challenge yourselves and do it together
Sometimes taking on a new challenge is an exciting prospect and doing it with friends can be a great motivator. This can be anything from training to run a distance like a 10k or as long as a marathon.
It could be a challenge of learning new skills and testing each other on the weekends to see the change in your ability. It might be rock climbing, dancing, learning a language, all things you might have wanted to do but not got round to doing it. But with friends you can at least encourage each other to keep going or help when things get tough.
Take some time away relaxing together
Relaxing might not always be your number one choice with friends. Often people want to do this on their own and in the comfort of their home. But actually doing this together can make it more relaxing. Taking a spa trip together, relaxing in a hot tub on a weekend escape, reading or discussing things beside a log fire while drinking your favourite wine or beverage. Relaxing comes in all shapes and sizes and certainly doesn’t need to be something you do on your lonesome.
Help each other out
Finally, we all have times in our lives where that extra set of hands could come in handy. You may be taking on your own home renovation project, and need some extra help with the heavy lifting. It could be that you friends need help with their work, their life admin or generally needs a shoulder to cry on. It may not be your first choice of the way you spend your weekend, but being their as a support for friends makes it all worthwhile.
I hope this has given you something to think about when it comes to how you spend your weekends.
