Since becoming parents James and I find couple time very hard to juggle. Even having a conversation about something proves hard some days. We were so pleased to be invited to the Vale resort to try out one of their newly refurbished rooms and dinner for the night.

The Vale resort is a four-star hotel and leisure resort. The resort is set in 650 acres of Welsh countryside. The Resort has a 143 bedroom hotel also has 2 championship golf courses, Wales’ largest spa, an award-winning restaurant and exceptional sporting facilities.

We were booked in to one of the newly refurbished rooms on one of the floors with newly decorated corridors. Everything looked so fresh and tastefully decorated. We were given superior double room , the first thing I noticed when we walked in was the bed , it was huge! The room was also such a great size with plenty of room to move around.

The room was fab and had everything you needed. The main part had a TV , desk and tea/coffee-making facilities. There were double doors that opened out in to a balcony with views of the golf course too.

There was table and two chairs on the balcony which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings or for a morning cuppa. There was a hairdryer , iron and ironing board in cupboard in the main room which was so handy.

The bathroom was lovely a spacious with a large shower , bath and toilet. There were plenty of fluffy towels and white company toiletries provided.

We spent the afternoon relaxing and enjoying our surroundings. The room was so lovely and had such a relaxing vibe. After some much appreciated relaxation we headed down to The Grill restaurant for dinner.

The Grill restaurant is so beautifully decorated and has some lovely views over the grounds. There was a grill menu and a Table Du Hote menu. They both had some amazing choices and it was had to choose.

We decided to order from the grill menu and just go for a main and dessert. I went for Welsh cider-brined char-grilled pork chop with triple cooked chips , cherry tomatoes , mushrooms and watercress. For dessert I went for something off the best of Wales section Bara brith tiramisu. I absolutely cannot find a fault with my meal , it was all fresh and so tasty.

James went for the orange and ginger glazed confit duck which he really enjoyed. For dessert he ordered the daily selection of freshly prepared mini desserts which he also loved and it was a fab chance to get to try a bit of everything. The service was also fantastic and the staff were ever so attentive.

After a fabulous and uninterrupted sleep we headed down for breakfast. We sat in the conservatory which was really beautiful. Breakfast was buffet style with a huge choice and something for everyone.

You could have the traditional full English breakfast,fruit, continental, pastries , yogurt and loads more.  I went for a continental breakfast with yogurt and fruit and James went for the full English. Again the food was so yummy and all fresh.

All in all we had a fabulous stay at the Vale Resort and I would massively recommend it for a little bit of luxury and time out. Check out our vlog to take a further look at the resort below.
