I love it when the seasons change especially Spring to Summer. The days get longer and brighter and the BBQ season and Al fresco dining begins. I really like to give the home a full update when Summer starts just to make things look fresher and updated.

Subtle changes make all the difference. I have started with the lounge and bought some new Summer cushion covers. I’m really in to canary yellow and grey at the moment so I have gone for some yellow cushion covers against my grey sofa.

I also found some fab grey photo frames and a large yellow collage frame which have really made the lounge look brighter. Some faux cacti dotted around have also made all the difference.

The bedroom has also had an update just a new duvet cover and Summer some prints has made such a difference. I went for a tropical theme , there are so many cute covers in the shops at the moment. I am on the lookout for some cacti throw cushions.

I am looking for some new blinds to really brighten the place up and whilst browsing came across some fab ones on the Thomas Sanderson site. They have such a gorgeous selection.

We have a large Bay window in the lounge and find that a lot of places don’t really offer that something special for a large bay window. I found loads whilst browsing here , now just to make a choice.

For the kitchen I am looking for a new dinning set with a Summer them as we still have the winter collection. Buying for each season is a good investment as you can put things away and get them out at the start of the season.

The last thing I need to do is buy a selection of plants for around the house. I love the way they brighten them up and give that edgy style. We have a couple of at the moment we bought a few months ago as a trial run to see if we could keep them alive!

So as you can see I have been busy but as always we have so many more plans in mind for the home and garden this summer so more home inspired posts to come.
