I love planning parties and have planned a few for my little ones over the years. With all the parties the first thing I did was book the hall as once that is booked you have a date and a venue which helps if you are booking mascots or bouncy castles etc. You can then also send out invites!
Once you have a theme in mind which is usually whatever your little one is in to you van have a search around for party accessories , the best places are Amazon , Ebay , Poundland and Wilko.
What will you do for your little one’s birthday party this year? Parents seem to be coming up with increasingly more unique ideas and the pressure is on to come up with something that your kids and their friends will enjoy. Here are five ideas to get you started.
1) A Pamper Party
This is a lovely idea if you have a daughter. There are companies that you can hire to come to your house with all of the equipment for required for a pamper, often complete with a non-alcoholic glass of sparkling wine. Of course, you’ll have to pay for the pamper equipment and staff but having a party in your home is far easier and probably cheaper than hiring out a venue.
2) A Mobile Zoo
Great for girls and boys, a mobile zoo is a fantastic option for a birthday party. Most kids love animals and this type of party will also have an educational element to it. Usually, the children will have the opportunity to hold and stroke the animals and ask lots of questions about their natural habitats and diets etc.
3) A Mystery to Solve
If your youngster is a budding Sherlock Holmes, one very affordable option is to set up a mystery to solve in your home, back garden or even the local park. Place some cryptic clues around that will help the kids solve the puzzle and ensure there’s a decent prize for the winner at the end.
Trampolining is hugely popular at the minute; kids seem to love it and there are lots of trampoline parks being opened across the country. There are usually lots of fun games that the children can take part in, like dodgeball or basketball. Children also seem to really enjoy throwing themselves into the foam pits. This is a great option for a party if you’d prefer not to host it in your home.
There are an abundance of options when it comes to birthday parties and parents shouldn’t be afraid to get as creative as they’d like. It doesn’t have to cost a lot to host a really fantastic party that your child will remember for years to come.
