We all like a sweet treat from time to time, but sugar can actually accelerate the aging process! Sugar gives us a high then we come crashing back down again, leaving us moody, tired and simply craving more. Did you know that sugar isn’t a friend of your skin either? Sugar and collagen don’t mix and consuming too much can leave your skin looking more tired, saggy and lifeless. It’s perfectly ok to treat yourself from time to time – just don’t overdo it, too often!

Sure you can try a bit of yoga, Pilates or swimming but they just don’t have the same appeal as having some intimacy with someone you love. Many of us live a sedentary lifestyle, but if you want to boost your confidence then you need to start moving more. It doesn’t have to be an intense work out, just aim to raise your heart rate for around 20 minutes a day doing something you enjoy. That could be walking the dog a little further, swimming a couple of extra lengths, taking the stairs or parking a little further away from the supermarket entrance. Get that blood pumping if you want a natural, youthful glow and the joints and mobility of someone ten years younger!

Strengthen your connections

As we get older our friendship circle gets smaller, and for many the idea of becoming isolated can become a reality. So, if you want to avoid that and want to feel young, then make sure your strengthening your connections with those around you. Take time to spend with your partner, make time for your parents and family, if a colleague invites you for a coffee – go with them!
