Together twelve years and two children later and we still haven’t got round to getting married. We do want to get married and have made all the plans n our head of how we want it to be. We want a Vegas wedding just James and I. We love the idea of a small wedding , something off the scale and just the two of us. And as you know from previous posts I’m obsessed with all things American.
There are a few options of Vegas weddings we would like to go for these include –
Valley of fire wedding –
I just love how scenic and out of this world these wedding locations are , the photos would be so amazing and they would be treasured forever. The Valley of Fire State Park as the most amazing red sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of dinosaurs. The erosion over the years has created the most amazing red landscape.
The Little White Chapel wedding –
I love the idea of the little white chapel as it is the one you always see in films and also the celebs getting married at. It also has that famous drive through tunnel which I just think is so surreal and quirky. I love the idea of hiring a Cadillac for this.
I like the fact too that a lot of the bits to do with the wedding can be sorted at home so you can enjoy your time out there. Things like buying of the rings , dresses and the suits from places like Suits Men . It takes the stress out of trawling around shops for hours too.
There are so many amazing hotels to stay at too and they are so luxurious which is just what you need when celebrating your wedding. I love the fact that most of them have various restaurants , nightclubs etc and even wedding chapels.
There are also so many places to visit when you are there , we plan on enjoying these after our wedding and treating it like a wedding / honeymoon in one. I love the idea of taking a helicopter ride and having dinner inside the grand canyon. Another idea I love is hiring a classic American car and going on a road trip along the valley of fire.
As you can see we have some mega plans it’s just a case of putting them all together now and putting the plans in to action. Has anyone else just gone abroad and got married on their own? I would love to hear your stories.
