So since the pandemic both my children have been home with me for nearly 5 months ! It’s madness when you sit and think it has been that long. In that time we have had to deal with a new way of life and Archie breaking his leg. It’s taken it’s toll on me and I have now been diagnosed with a stomach condition that was brought on my stress.

It’s hard to practice self care and me time when there is very little time in the day that I can be alone, James has worked throughout so most of the time it’s just me and the children at home and my day is filled with keeping them happy and busy.

The little time I do bet between them and me going to bed I just want to chill and watch TV with a cuppa ! In affect that is self care but I know I should be doing more for myself.

I have promised myself to start doing a few more things these will include –

A long bubble bath

I never just lay and have a soak in the bath it’s always a rush job. I am going to make time when the little ones go to bed to have some me time and have a long bubble bath. Baylis and Harding have kindly sent me some gorgeous bits from their beauticology lemon meringue range to help with this. I was sent the bubble bath, shower creme and hand soap.

They all smell absolutely amazing ! And like actual lemon meringue. The scent is fresh and summery with a zingy, zesty lemon scent. I love the sunny design with the flamingos it’s so summery ! It left my skin so soft and smelling amazing for hours after using it ! Such a lovely treat !

The range is available from boots – the shower creme is £3 , hand soap £2.15 and bubble bath £3. Such a good price for such high quality items.

Getting some exercise

I have actually started this one not on my own but as a family we have been going on some amazing mountain hikes and in search of waterfall’s – there has even been some wild swimming at the waterfalls. It’s amazing and is helping with my metal health also.

Writing

This really helps me relax so I’ve made a promise to write more of what males me happy and also start documenting the last five months you as something to look back on.

These are just a few of the things I am going to do to help myself – anyone have any other ideas ? I would love to hear them.

*I was sent the Baylis and Harding products for the purpose of this post – all thoughts and opinions are my own.
