We started the Christmas eve box tradition last year and I have to say I love it. We all have one and it’s so much fun ! This year the Elf on the shelf is going to leave it when he goes back to the North Pole. I thought I would share with you all what we at putting in the boxes. We have been gifted some of these items and I have also bought some of them.
The boxes have a variety of items but mostly the same for each ankle biter as they do like a good old squabble if they don’t have the same things , the joys of having them 14 months apart.
*Now TV cinema pass
This was one for all of us – instead of putting DVD’s in the box I thought this wold be fab as the little ones can chose a film and then when they are in bed us grown ups can. They can then have movie pass tickets throughout the holiday. They are also doing a special edition Beauty and the beast pack which includes the cinema pass , now TV box and a beauty and the beast figure they are priced at £20.00 from Tesco.
*Bags of love personalised fleece blankets
Everyone loves a cosy blanket to snuggle up on Christmas eve. Bags of love are a gorgeous little site that have so much variety when it comes to products. We were gifted the small fleece blankets and decided to have some seasonal photos printed on them. The blankets are so thick and snuggly and the quality is amazing. I was a little bit unsure about having photos on blankets as thought they would be bad quality but they are fabulous and the photos are so clear. The blankets were priced at £34.00 each.
*Hallmarks Itty Bittys
Itty Bitty’s are so cute if you are looking for a cute little cuddly toy for toddlers or older pre schoolers etc. They are fab also for babies just learning to hold things as they are shaped for them to hold on to. We have the princess collection and also the special edition Mickey and Minnie Christmas ones. They are so adorably cute and Frankie is besotted with them. There is so much choice and something for all tastes including Disney , star wars , marvel , DC comics , Flintstones and many more. They retail at arounf £6.00 each so also make a fab stocking filler.
*Walker picture books
We are huge Walker picture book fans soo have chosen two books from their Christmas range for the Christmas Eve bedtime story. A Christmas for bear and also snow boy and the last tree standing. So excited to read these to the little ones.
Plastic mason cups
These are fab for hot chocolate on Christmas Eve as they have straws too , they were one of the only plastic ones I could find as my two are too young for glass. I love the festive design too. I got these in card factory for £1.99. I will also buy some hot chocolate and marshmallows and put them in to little Santa cellophane bags.
A cuddly toy to take to bed on Christmas eve
These gingerbread are so cute and my two love gingerbread so I just know they will love them. I got these in card factory too for £1.99 which is a total bargain – they also had other Christmas cuddly toys for £1.99.
I bought these little Smarties houses as thought they were so cute and really loved the festive theme. I know they will go down a treat. They are available at all supermarkets but I got them 3 for £5.00 at one stop.
We love the Grinch in this house so have all gone for matching ones I got the little ones from Primark £7 and mine were from fashion world and £16.80 in the sale. They also have mens Grinch PJs in Primark for £12.
A bauble for the tree
There are so many lovely ones around I got ours from Home Bargains.
