I was excited to be asked to review the Xtava twist curling wand , as I don’t have much time to style my hair these days I love the idea of a natural looking wave with minimal effort. I have a curling wand with a different barrel it’s more of a spiral curl look and I find the curls are too tight for my hair. The Xtava has a tapered barrel which gives a more natural beach wave.
The Xtava has got ionic technology to prevent frizz. The long tapered barrel is coated in ceramic and tourmaline to preserve hair health and stop it from burning the hair. It has a digital temperature gauge ranging from 90 F – 210 C.
It gives the following guide for different hair types they start between 90 – 150 C for delicate or fine hair types, 150 – 190 C for normal hair, and 190 – 210 C for thick or coarse hair types. You can wrap smaller sections of hair for tighter curls or larger sections for looser curls.
I used this for our recent spa break and was so impressed with the results , I loved the beach curl look it was so subtle yet still looked like you handmade an effort. The wand didn’t take long to warm up at all and the heat glove that came with it was great.
I was also impressed with the storage bag as it had coating inside which meant you could put the wand in the bag while it was still hot – to save burning anything or fab if you are in a rush and want to pack it away. I was a bit dubious about how good the wand would be due to the low price of £20.00 but I am really happy with it and would definitely recommend it.
I am giving one lucky reader the chance of wining a Xtava curling wand to enter just chose which method is best for you from the list below.
I was sent the curling wand in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
