It’s time my favourite time of year, anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am with Halloween !! We have already started decorating the house and we have our costumes. Now to go to loads of fun and spooky events over the half term too. Enjoy !

Greenmeadow farm 26th Oct – 30th Oct 10am-5pm 

This is how the day looks every day from the 26th to 30th –

10.30 – 12.30 Cuddle Corner – come and meet and handle some smaller animals
11.30 – 3.30 Pumpkin Carving (£2.50 pay in Shop)
11.30 Milking Demonstration
12.00 Tractor & Trailer Ride
12.30 Chicken Lunchtime with some Spooky Fun sprinkled in!
2.00 Tractor & Trailer Ride
2.30 Pig Agility & Apple Bobbing
3.00 – 4.30 Cuddle Corner – come and meet and handle some smaller animals

You can get crafty in the LOFT throughout the day and
make your very own Halloween themed Handprint Ghost or Scrap Mag Cat!!!

Fourteen Locks Canal Centre and Cafe Halloween trail Oct 26th – 3rd Nov 

Two trails are available on the day devised by a qualified teacher. One for ages 6yrs and older and one for ages 3yrs – 6 yrs. Only £2.50 per child from Saturday 26th October – Sunday 3rd November, 10am – 3pm. Open 7 days a week! Everyone gets a prize upon completion.

Hocus pocus at Belle Vue park 26th Oct 

After three centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl, and an immortal cat to put an end to their reign of terror once and for all. Certificate PG Runtime 1hr 36 m. This film will start at 6.30pm approximately.

Halloween half term activities – Blaenavon heritage centre 29th Oct and 30th Oct 11am 

Frightfully fun family activities over the Halloween half term. Halloween crafts. £1 entry. Halloween Treasure Hunt with prizes – all week. £1 entry.

31st Oct – Frightfully fun family activities over the Halloween half term. Story and craft session in the Library at 2.30pm (pre-booking required).

1st Nov – Animal Handling with lizards, snakes & more. £3.50 per person per session. Pre-booking essential.

Spooky afternoon tea Old Railway Line Garden Centre 28th Oct 4pm-5.30pm 

Horror-rific Halloween themed cakes and spooky sandwiches before enjoying a scary story and venturing through THE haunted Halloween Walkway. There will also be a prize for the best child’s fancy dress and a party bag for each child to take home!

Creepy crafty activities – The Met Abitillery 29th Oct 11am, 1pm, 3pm

Join Head4Arts to make a spooktacular Halloween mobile, with hanging models of bats, spiders and ghosts to get you ready for Halloween. Suitable for ages 4 to 9 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets: £4.00 (includes a soft drink)

This is on over half term there are clay making sessions and play time in go play £5 – booking is essential as places are limited. Phone 01633627100.

Halloween at limitless trampoline park Cwmbran 31st Oct 11am-2pm 

This includes fancy dress competition and Halloween photo booth as well as the trampoline park. You need to book on to the open bounce session for this. Also serving spooky burgers and drinks.

Blaenavon Iron Works 26th Oct – 3rd Nov 11am-4pm 

Spoky trail, story telling and puppet show. Normal admission price.

Iona’s cookery school Pontypool market 31st Oct 

  • 2 sessions aimed at 5-9 and 10-16

Pumpkin carving Duffryn gardens Oct 26th-31st 11am

Blaenavon ghost trains Oct 30th and 31st

Ghoulish Ghost Train is back for 2019, trains run regularly between 1600 and 2100.

Halloween at NT Tredegar House from Oct 26th 10.30am-4pm 

Enjoy the changing of the seasons at Tredegar House and explore all that nature had to offer this October half-term. Crunch through the leaves on a nature trail through the gardens, cook up a storm on the campfire, create some wild art or book onto a vegetable printing workshop.  Full event details can be found here:
