We were so lucky to be invited to visit Father Christmas at Hamleys Cardiff , the experience from start to finish was just amazing and so magical.
When we got to Hamleys we were greeted by two of the friendliest Elves , who made us feel very welcome and got the children excited to meet Father Christmas. The Elves told the children some stories about the North Pole and Father Christmas , they also gave each child a name badge so they could make the experience personalised for them.
We then made our way down to the back of the store to the party room where Father Christmas was waiting. As we made our way to the room we sang Christmas carols , the elves then sprinkled some magic dust over the door and in we went.
The room was just beautiful with a chair for Father Christmas by the fireplace and a gorgeous Christmas tree. There was a table all set up with Christmas crafts which the little ones really enjoyed doing. When the children had nearly finished the crafts the Elves said they could hear Father Christmas coming on his sleigh so the children had to sing loudly so he could find them.
Father Christmas arrived and he was so much fun , he read the children a story and then played games with them. He was fabulous with the children and called them all by their names and made them giggle. Musical statues was enjoyed so much by my two especially as Frankie got to dance with Father Christmas.
They then got a chance to write a wish list for Father Christmas and go and talk to him individually, there was a chance to take as many photos as you wanted. They were given such a beautiful gift bags with a Hamleys bear , a hardback “I saw Father Christmas at Hamleys” story book , a pack of coloured pencils and a beautiful ornament for the tree. My two were over the moon with this and Hamley bear has taken pride of place in their bed.
As we were leaving the room all children were given a cup from the elves to fill up with pick and mix from the big red London bus as the front , this was such a lovely touch and the little ones loved it.
I would really recommend this if you are looking for a magical experience , the visit is priced at £19.99 which is amazing value as you get 45mins with Father Christmas and such a lovely gift from him.
*We were given entry to see Father Christmas in return for this review , all thoughts and opinions are my own.
