I love it when the seasons change especially winter to spring. The days get longer and brighter. I really like to give the home a full update when spring starts just to make things look fresher and updated.
Subtle changes make all the difference. I have started with the lounge and bought some new spring cushion covers. I’m also looking for a new rug. I’m really in to the pale pink and greys at the moment so I have gone for some pale pink cushion covers and a grey throw.
I also found some fab pale pink photo frames which have really made the lounge look brighter. I got some really cute pastel colours letters for my light box which look amazing and at the moment I have #spring on there. Some fake flowers in a new vase have also made all the difference.
I love Easter too so have found a variety of gorgeous little Easter decorations for the fireplace and the home. They really brighten the place up.
The bedroom has also had an update just a new duvet cover and some prints has made such a difference. I went for a hare theme , there are so many cute covers in the shops at the moment. I am on the lookout for some bronze hares for the beside tables too.
I am looking for some new duvets and whilst browsing came across some fab ones on the Groupon site. They also have a gorgeous selection of bedding too and mattresses. I am tempted by of the mattress toppers for that extra bit of comfort.
For the kitchen I am looking for a new dinning set with a spring them as we still have the autumn collection. Buying for each season is a good investment as you can put things away and get them out at the start of the season.
The last thing I need to do is buy a selection of plants for around the house. I love the way they brighten them up and give that edgy style. We have one plant at the moment we bought a few months ago as a trial run to see if we could keep them alive!
So as you can see I have been busy and now we have been here a year we are really putting our stamp on the house. As always we have so many more plans in mind for the home and garden this summer.
