We have such a beautiful hallway it is huge and so bright and airy. I love the high ceilings and the diamond tiles. Everyone who visits always comments on how lovely it is.

I currently have my office in the hallway , it’s that big we still have loads of room to have a functioning hallway. I have so many plans for the hallway. I would like some shelves and more prints for the walls just to put our stamp on it.

I would also love to have a photo arrangement going up the stairs. it would be amazing to document the little ones lives from birth to current day. I like the idea of mis-matched photo frames in mustard and grey colours.

The stairs are carpeted and currently we just have a plain cream carpet on them. I would prefer something monochrome maybe in a stripe or pattern.

I also fancy the idea of exposing the wood on the stairs and having a geometric style carpet  down the middle. Just something to brighten them up. I came across a fab Carpet Underlay Shop online which will be great for that extra bouncy carpet.

It’s so important when picking any caret to ensure you have a good Carpet Underlay , I have had quite basic underlay in the past and it’s not great for the carpet either.

We currently have a window in the hall way from the porch and also a window at the top of the stairs. We need to get some blinds for these. I would love some mustard blinds either roman or in a wood effect.

When it comes to accessories I need to think about a theme. I would love a vintage theme. The windows have deep sills so a vintage phone would look fab on one of them. I am thinking a vintage record player on the hallway window sill. I will have to trawl the charity shops and boot sales for one.

I also love the idea of an old-fashioned coat rack the kind you find in doctors offices. Again this is the kind of thing I can pick up at a car boot sale and renovate myself. I am thinking some grey chalk paint would look amazing.

I really can’t wait for all of these plans to come together , I will also enjoy working on this as a project an sourcing the vintage bits. We really are making this house a home and I am loving the journey we are on with it.
