I am so excited for the spring and those longer evenings in the garden. The anklebiters love going out to play in the garden after dinner and it’s lovely to just sit and watch them. This year we are going to invest in a garden bench and some cushions to make it more comfortable.

There is loads to do in the garden for the little ones some of our favourite things are –

  • Bug hunting and collecting to live in their wooden bug houses
  • Watering the plants and fruit and veg they have planted
  • Making fairy gardens
  • Garden games such as hopscotch , giant jenga and hula hooping
  • And as always they love some fun in the playhouse

This year we have an ever growing list of things we want to plant these include –

  • Flowers
  • Daffodils
  • Lettuce and cucumber
  • A pumpkin patch
  • Green beans and Peas
  • Tomatoes
  • We also want to plant some apple trees

I think it’s so important to teach the little ones about sustainable living and it is so good for them to watch something grow that they have planted. They also get super excited to check if they have grown every day. They also love going to chose the seeds and plants and of course the accessories.

Garden bench competition

I have come across a fab competition to win a garden bench on the Sloane and Sons website.

To celebrate the launch of our new website we are giving you the chance to win a Lutyens 150cm Bench!

The chill of winter may be with us once again, but a beautiful garden bench is what you need when the fine weather of spring arrives. Made from robust and long-lasting teak, the Lutyens garden bench with its pretty, curvaceous back is ideal for any garden.

To be in with a chance of winning this beautiful teak bench, all you need to do is follow and RT them on Twitter or Like their Facebook page and share their post! All details of how to enter and T&Cs can be found here.

But hurry, you don’t have long. This competition will end on the 31/1/2018. A winner will be selected randomly at the end of the competition and will be announced here and on the social media channels.
