We have a few summer breaks this year so I wanted to put together some products that for me are essentials this summer for myself and my family. There are so many things to think of when going away and I am all for making life fun and easy. These are my must haves for this summer –
Johnson’s top to toe wash cloths and massage lotion
I love Johnson’s products and have used them since birth , they have so many different products to suit all needs.
These are fab as you can’t always have a shower handy , you know when they get covered head to toe in ice cream or a meal out with spag bol proves messy business. Johnson’s wash cloths. I love that you don’t have to use water or dry with them. They are my new staple handbag accessory.
The massage lotion is fab for holidays as we do a lot of walking an exploring the little ones legs are tired by the end of the day. They loved having a little leg massage with the top to toe massage lotion after the bath and before bed.
My two have sensitive skin when it comes to sun cream so I will only use the sun lotions for sensitive skin and factor 50. I have recently been testing out Child’s Farm range of sun protection which all comes in factor 50.
They have a sun cream in a tube , a sun lotion that comes as a spray and my favourite a roll on sun lotion. Every item is 50+ SPF and is fragrance free. The products are suitable for babies and upwards. All Child’s Farm sun protection is Dermatologist and pediatrician approved and suitable for sensitive and also eczema-prone skin.
Archie and Frankie could use the roll on themselves , it’s fab to pop in their bag for nursery and to give them some Independence. We have been using the lotion and cream in the hot weather and the little ones have had no reactions or sun burn. I am going to check out some of their other products for my little loves, they even have handy travel size products too – perfect for the holiday season.
Chicco OH La La stroller
Frankie is now three but we still use a stroller on long journeys and holidays as her little legs get tired. Chicco recently sent us their lightweight stroller the OH La La. The stroller is only 3.8kg which is ideal for holidays and travels. The stroller is so light you can lift it with one finger , the stroller is so light to push and Frankie’s finds it so comfy.
The seat covers have padding in them and even come off to wash. I love the sunshade too as it gives great coverage and when she is napping it can be pulled over well to cover her upper body. it can be used from 0+ to 15kg which is great as you can use from birth with it’s fully reclining seat. The basket underneath is big enough for shopping or essentials you may need to take out. It also comes with a rain cover which is so handy for those summer showers.
The stroller is easy to assemble and also I found it so simple to put up and down which is what you need when dealing with two preschoolers. We took the pram on the beach on a recent trip and as it was so light when we took Frankie out of it we could just carry it down the beach as it is so incredibly light.
This made life so much easier as Frankie was so tired after an afternoon at the beach so which meant after the beach she could have a snooze on the way back to the hotel in the pram which saved any unnecessary tiredness tantrums.
I was thrilled when My Pocket Money Toy asked if we would like to try out their Summer holiday box. My Pocket Money Toy is a subscription box jam packed with toys suitable to your child’s age. They also o party favour boxes which are fab. They have different boxes at different times of year – at Christmas they have Christmas Eve boxes , they then move on to spring with Easter boxes and then the Summer holiday boxes which is what we were gifted.
Our box was aimed at 3-5 year olds and prices at £30.00. You can buy a one off box , a gift box which comes with a card or a subscription where you choose how long for. The boxes go all the way up to 12 years old.
The box arrived well packaged and in good time from when it was ordered. The little ones were so excited to see what was inside – it was he surprise box element they loved. They were over the moon with what they saw when they opened it. Inside there was –
- A Galt coloring book
- An Orchard Toys sticker book
- Orchard Toys Dino Dominoes
- Melissa and Doug lace game
- Melissa and Doug water paint book
- A light up bubble gun
- A hatching unicorn
- A finger puppet
As you can see it is fantastic value for money and has certainty been keeping them entertained. They have been having one thing every couple of days to play with. This would be fab to take on holiday or just for the summer hols.
