I have mixed feeling about screen time with ipads and toddlers. I do let the littles play on the iPad occasionally and one of the apps I have had on it for them is Kidloland. We had the free version and love the nursery rhymes and simple educational games. When Kidloland contacted me and asked if I would like a 6 month subscription to the full app to review we were excited to give it a go.
The app is aimed at children 0-5 years old. There are many aspects to the app including nursery rhymes , maths, phonics , games and songs to learn. The activities help the littles learn numbers, shapes and colours which is fab for their age group.
Archie’s and Frankie’s favourites are the nursery rhymes which are also interactive. For example in the Old Macdonald nursery rhyme if you click on the cows they moo. This is fab for teaching them about different animals and the noises they make.
The app is so easy to navigate and the bright colours make it so appealing to the little ones. The games are easy to use for the toddlers and they understand the concepts behind them.
The app is constantly updated which is fab as there will always be new content. The subscription costs start at £29.99. The app is available on iOS , Google Play Store and the Amazon Appstore. It is by far worth the money as there is so much on the app to keep the littles entertained.
I tend to use it when I am cooking dinner as I know its safe as they can’t steer towards other sites from it and they love it. The only negative thing I could say is that the nursery rhymes are American so the words differ to the ones they are taught here. But overall a big thumbs up from us.
I was given a 6 month subscription to Kidloland in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
