We were so lucky to be asked by Three network to test out the Samsung S9. I currently have the Samsung S7 which I use a lot for photos on the blog so I was majorly excited to try out the S9. We love our adventures and getting loads of shots to remember the good times.

The quality of the photos blew me away , the color was sharper and so much brighter than the S7. The photos look so professional especially with being able to use the selective focus. You get the perfect blurred out background most of the time , which was fab as I only really get that when using my DSLR.

The only downfall is that you have to be very close up to whatever you are taking the photo of otherwise the blurred out effect can look quite unatural.  The S7 can give you a selective focus but there is no actual option in the camera settings whilst taking the photo. The pro setting was also really good and made the photos look sharper.

I took some pictures with my DSLR and the Samsung S9 and there are some that have been taken that were much better than the DSLR , this really shocked me and is great for being out and about instead of taking the big camera out every time.

Here are some of my favourite photos taken over the month using the Samsung S9 –

Taken using food mode and selective focus

Taken on selective focus

These are just a few of the photos I have taken with the Samsung S9 – l was really blown away with the camera and all the added extras and settings you can use. The fact that it took some better pictures than my DSLR was a game changer for me. I would be happy with an upgrade to this from my S7.

I liked that the layout and features are mostly the same so there is no need to get used to a new phone. The fact that phone cameras are getting better each upgrade really excites me.

*I was given the Samsung S9 loan for one month for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
